GSR Andrade had the pleasure of hosting Preservation Dallas’ Intown Outing on January 28th.
The evening began with an introduction given by David Gibson (The Gibson Company). David has been passionately involved with the transformation of Exposition Park for three decades. Several of his properties have significant designations from the United States Department of Interior / National Parks Service and The Dallas Landmark Commission. These honors recognize his efforts to preserve Dallas’ cultural heritage while carefully restoring these structures and re-purposing them for residential and commercial use.
The evening progressed with a walking tour of several other Exposition Park businesses, with stops at Studio Outside, Welch Architecture, Commerce Street Lofts, and the Dallas Firefighter’s Museum (Fire Station #5).
Having officed in Exposition Park for 17+ years, GSR Andrade was thrilled to have the attention of Preservation Dallas members focused on “our ‘hood”. We look forward to sharing the history of this significant area in an upcoming post. Stay tuned!
