GSRA Participates in 3rd Annual CRE8 Design Challenge and Fashion Show

An amazing design team (Jessica Williams, Favi Rietti, Erin Phillips, Chuck Bennett, Thuy Nguyen, Alyssa Rodriguez and Omar Martinez) from GSR Andrade participated again this year in the 3rd Annual CRE8 Design Challenge and Fashion Show benefitting the IIDA Texas/Oklahoma Chapter Education Fund.

The challenge is to create a garment in 8 days.  Not just any garment….but a garment that celebrates the connection between interior design and fashion!  This year’s them was Zodiac Signs.  Each sign possesses a distinct set of personality traits that sets it apart from the rest.  All of the signs aligned on Friday, April 26th for a good vs. evil showdown on the runway!

GSRA’s team was challenged with the evil side of CANCER, whose traits are: changeable, clingy, moody, and overemotional.  The resulting design was a chic, transforming “cocktail” dress with a bit of a smoldering attitude.

Modeled by Jessica Williams (GSRA)

Congratulations to the entire GSRA Team who worked so tirelessly to make this idea come to life!
