Christ Fellowship Erects 40′ Cross in Memory of Dick Best

In memory of Richard “Dick” Best, a beloved member of Christ Fellowship in McKinneywho passed away last summer, the Church led the effort to erect a 40-foot tall memorial cross at the main stone entry wall. Remembering our special relationship with Mr. Best since the Phase 2 Sanctuary and Main Street construction of Christ Fellowship, GSR Andrade Architects, along with JQ, donated architectural and structural engineering design services for the effort, while UEB Builders arranged to construct the memorial cross at cost.

This short filmstrip shows the steel cross in the process of being mounted to the stone wall. The top of the finished cross reaches 55-feet towards the heavens.

The dedication of the cross is scheduled for Sunday, June 16th (Father’s Day), at 1:00 PM.

It has been GSRA’s pleasure to count Dick Best as a dear friend, and we were elated to have been a part of this remembrance to his spirit.
