CANstruction
Always a GSRA favorite, CANstruction Build Day was held Saturday, October 5th at NorthPark Center. This year’s event attracted 24 competing teams, who together brought in 97,000 cans of food to build their structures. Once the exhibit is over (Sunday, October 20th), all of the food will be donated to North Texas Food Bank.
Canstruction® is the most unique food drive in the world. Using thousands of cans of food, Dallas architects, engineers and contractors fight hunger in a competition that has donated over 600,000 cans of food to the North Texas Food Bank over the past seven years.
Canstruction® was founded in 1992 by the Society for Design Administration and nationally has generated well over 20 million pounds of food for local food banks.
