GSRA’s Baptist Health Medical Center held a “topping out” ceremony today on the 37-acre site in Conway to mark the completion of the main steel structure for the facility. Baptist Health president and CEO Troy Wells, civic leaders, community members, local physicians, and Baptist Health employees celebrated this milestone for the 111-bed hospital located on the west side of Interstate 40 in Conway. The project broke ground July 7th of last year and is expected to be complete in the spring of 2016.

BHMC Conway is a 263,000 g.s.f. full-service Community Hospital. The hospital includes 88 medical-surgical beds, 8 ICU beds, 6 LDR beds, 3 Antepartum beds, 15 Postpartum beds and a 15 crib Nursery. The hospital also features 6 general ORs, 1 Cardio OR, 1 Ortho OR, 2 GI Treatment Rooms, 1 Cysto Treatment Room, 2 Cath Labs and shelled space for a hybrid OR. The surgery department supports 20 Pre-operative stations, 15 PACU stations and 15 Phase II step down stations. The hospital also includes a full service Emergency Department including , 2 triage,13 exam rooms 2 secured exam rooms, 2 level 3 Trauma rooms and 1 FAA certified helipad. The radiology department features 2 Ultrasound, 1 mammography, 1 R&F, 1 CT, 1 MRI, 1 Nuclear Medicine Camera, 1 Echo-stress room and a pad and infrastructure for a mobile PET/CT. Ancillary services include a full laboratory, pretesting suite, full pharmacy and a 12 station pneumatic tube system. Supporting departments include full dietary with menu service, biomed, linen services, central sterile, central supply and facilities management.
