This project included the complete renovation and upgrade of the the existing Women’s Basketball Locker Room Suite to modern, accessible and higher profile standards to aid in recruitment for the championship team, including revising the Locker Room, Shower Room and Restroom, and creating a new Lounge and Equipment Storage Rooms. Modifications in all rooms included acoustical and drywall ceilings over exposed structure/piping, accent lighting, security/access control, lockers, upgraded floor and wall finishes, wood paneling, toilet/shower partitions, and solid surface countertops with high-pressure laminate millwork. Aluminum storefront and frosted glazing provided privacy. Existing HVAC and exhaust systems were upgraded. LCD touch panel screens wired for sound and wireless hot spots can accommodate interactive audio/visual presentations.
The new modern, accessible and higher profile Women’s Volleyball Locker Room Suite was completely retrofit from an existing office, restroom and dressing room, to create a new Locker Room, Shower Room, Restroom and Laundry. Careful demolition was required in the historic 1963 building to create new showers, lavatories and water closets. Modifications in all rooms included acoustical and drywall ceilings over exposed structure/piping, accent lighting, security/access control, re-stained salvaged lockers, upgraded floor and wall finishes, wood paneling, toilet/shower partitions, and solid surface counter-tops with high-pressure laminate millwork.
