This historic High School renovation was a full interior renovation with a focus on expanding FWISD’s Tier 2 CTE programs. This school renovation is intended to be the CTE flagship for FWISD with only certain programs being offered at this school. New Classroom Labs were created to help simulate real-life work environments to introduce students to a potential career for those not necessarily attending college. Full Commercial Kitchens, Smart Hospital, Ambulance EMT Simulator, Retail Entrepreneurship, and Cybersecurity are just a few of unique spaces that combine real-life work scenarios with educational requirements. Other traditional high school spaces were renovated to bring this 20th Century building into the 21st century of teaching. Areas such as the traditional library is transformed into a Media Center emphasizing students current need of technology and not traditional books. Classrooms are being upgraded with televisions and interactive displays. The school is receiving all new furniture throughout to encourage flexible seating and teaching.
