The Mesquite Animal Shelter and Adoption Center expansion added new capacity and a better public experience to one of the city’s most active community facilities. The 16,316 SF project combined new construction and targeted renovations, phased through a master plan that allowed the City to improve the facility incrementally.
New dog and cat care spaces, expanded adoption areas, and a dedicated treatment lab were added in the first phase, along with additional parking and outdoor play yards. A redesigned entry lobby with disease-resistant finishes and meet-and-greet rooms gave visitors a more welcoming arrival and staff a smoother adoption process.
