The facility includes 36 core academic classrooms (including science laboratories); 3 special education classrooms; 3 alternative education classrooms; library/media center; visual arts classrooms; auditorium; band, choir, and drama halls with practice rooms; computer technology classrooms; career education classrooms; gymnasium and weight room with lockers; administration, clinic and guidance offices; cafeteria and kitchen; maintenance and custodial areas. The 17-acre site provides parking for both visitors and staff with a fire access loop drive circulating around the school. Athletic fields include hardtop basketball and volleyball courts, a baseball field, softball diamond, and a field that serves as a dual purpose for soccer and football.
The school was the first Dallas ISD school built using the tilt-wall method.
It was completed 32 days ahead of schedule and $250,000 under budget.
