Located on 7.22-acre site in northeast Dallas, the Service Center is a new 7,300- SF one-story, combination office and storage facility used for District 6 of the Dallas Park & Recreation Department. The building includes offices, meeting/training room, break area, fitness room, locker room, public interface lobby, warehouse and storage space. Construction is a premanufactured metal building with metal siding. A trellis-covered courtyard adjacent to the break area and training room allows for larger group events.
On the site is an existing 51,000-SF open air covered shed that serves as parking structure for the fleet of all trailers, tractors, mowers, infield groomers, field markers, spray rigs, and other service vehicles up to 3 tons. This shed receives a complete new metal roof system, along with structural refurbishment of damaged support columns. The gravel/concrete site, which is secured with fencing and gates around the entire perimeter, contains parking for 60 staff and visitors, as well as a detention pond.
