GSR Andrade Architects is participating again this year in the Society for Design Administration’s annual CANstruction competition. Architecture and design firms will compete by creating life-sized sculptures made out of canned food items.
The entries will be constructed and displayed at NorthPark Center from September 8th –September 21st. All food items will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank at the end of the competition. The North Texas Food Bank distributes food to local shelters, food pantries, emergency shelters, senior citizen shelters, and feeding programs in 13 North Texas counties. They also sponsor the Summer Food Service Program, which ensures that children in low-income areas receive nutritious meals during summer vacations when they do not have access to school breakfast or lunch programs.
