GSR Andrade along with their talented design & construction team are very honored to have received the “2019 Top Ten Award” at this past Thursday’s 2019 Topping Out Awards. The North Texas Food Bank, Perot Family Campus project is a great contribution to the DFW Community and we truly enjoyed working with the NTFB and Hillwood Development on this special project!
- The North Texas Food Bank’s mission is “To close the hunger gap in North Texas by providing access to nutritious food”. The addition of the Perot Family Campus (“PFC”) is a critical component of NTFB’s plan for expansion. The facility is double the size of NTFB’s previous warehouse in South Dallas, with triple the cooler and freezer space. PFC is also located more centrally within NTFB’s 13-county service area, closer to major highways and where many of our volunteers live, work, and play. NTFB provided our hungry neighbors with access to a record 76.9 million nutritious meals in Fiscal Year 19 just completed June 30th. NTFB distributed 29.6 million pounds of produce – over half of all pounds distributed NTFB engaged more than 41,000 volunteers in FY19 with a 93% volunteer satisfaction rate. NTFB provided educational programing in Jan’s Garden a ½ acre garden plot adjacent to NTFB.
