The Lubbock Economic Development Alliance and Bandera Ventures broke ground on a new speculative building.
It’ll go up over the next year across from the DPS building in northeast Lubbock. With 161,000 square feet, it could serve as a data center, a manufacturing plant or a distribution facility.
“Being able to have someone come and put an investment in our community is giving us an opportunity for a company to grow and expand into Lubbock,” LEDA president John Osborne said. “Create jobs and bring investment into our tax rolls, which helps continue to grow our economy and provide opportunities for our citizens.”
Osborne says Lubbock has low vacancy rates in its commercial real estate and having adequate space will only attract more business.
