This 52,000 s.f., two-story second phase addition provided the Christ Fellowship facility a large, 1,500-seat sanctuary with state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, a commercial-grade kitchen and video café, significant space for youth/teen ministry, administration offices, multi-purpose ministry/education rooms, and a bookstore/welcome center area. A central feature was an open, spacious Main Street lobby that allowed for simultaneous worship venues and flexible campus expansion.
The 47-acre site in McKinney was master planned for 375,000 total square feet on an existing wooded creek lot. Future planned growth included a children’s school wing, larger sanctuary, chapel, and separated sports ministry/ youth building. Outdoor features included a baptistery and amphitheater linked to the creek, sports fields, and a hike-and-bike trail connected to the City trail along Comegys Creek. Subsequent work with the Church continued the master plan, including a decorative memorial cross sculpture, a separate maintenance/storage building, Promiseland children’s preschool entry control, traffic/land use studies, and visual modeling of a potential telecom tower on-site.
